Hi, I am new here so this has probably been asked before but I couldn't find it with the search function. I bought LR5 outright last year (not from Adobe but third party) and I was wanting to know as to whether I could install the new updates or is that only available in the cloud? TIA

I installed new Lightroom CC and it doesn't launch
After installing Lightroom CC from the Creative Cloud App on a Mac running Mac OS X 10.10.3, I try launching LR CC and nothing happens. A brief flash on the screen, no opening splash screen, no choose the Catalog dialog box, nothing.

I don't see LR6 in my CC updater. I've signed out and back in but it's still not there. I'm assuming this will be fixed but just wondering if anyone else has had this experience?

LR CC is not launching PC Win 7 64 bits
Dear all,
since yesterday night, i tried everything to get LR CC to launch.
I'm very glad that this simple log in and out is fixing the problem for almost everyone on WIN and OSX, but it's not the case for me. i don't even see the splash screen
After a night spent to try everything i've read here, and on the web, i've contacted the adobe support by chat. I had a very nice technician who spent almost 2 hours in a remote desktop session on my computer... the session was lost while he was still working because the chat support ends at 17:00 CET i presume...
He tried everything i've allready tried :
- Log out and log in from Creative cloud
- Log in with another CC account
- OOBE, SLSTORE, SLCACHE admin rights, erasing, etc...
- Remove everything with CC remover, then reinstall Creative cloud
- Try install using 30 days trial
- Create another user with admin rights and try again everything from this list
I personaly allready tried to uninstall everything (photoshop, lightroom 5.7.1, lightroom CC, Bridge CC), then do a clean reinstall from scratch without success.
hard times with this issue, i have no more access to the 5.7.1 install from cloud.
the windows crash logs are not really usefull, it justs says lightroom.exe and libcef.dll crashed.
any new ideas or i burn the computer ?

Does anyone know how to turn the sync OFF in Lr mobile?

Can I delete Lightroom 5
Now that Lightroom CC has arrived can I safely delete Lightroom 5?
I thought that when the new CC version arrived it would have automatically deleted it.

Eligible for lightroom 6 if just purchased lightroom 5
I just purchased lightroom 5, I have not installed it yet. If I install lightroom 5 now will I be eligible for lightroom 6? Or should I take it back to the store and purchase lightroom 6

unhanded win32 exception occured in Lightroom CC 2015 when detecting faces
When debugging (I have VS 2013 installed) the more detailed exception is:
Unhandled exception at 0x000000002273A37D (libfrsdk-8.6.0.dll) in lightroom.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x0000000000000008.
When running the debugger, i notice the memory address on subsequent fails changes:

I downloaded Lightroom CC and it deleted Lightroom 5 (gone from Mac) and cannot open CC now? Not at my main computer but might help if you tell me how to fix the issue? Thanks Gary

Download update of Lightroom cc and app says dowloaded successfully but is not downloaded
the desktop app tells me that LR cc has successfully downloaded but it has not downloaded onto my drive and thus will not launch

Downloaded and Installed LR6 Standalone, won't run, says already activated on 2 computers
I also have a CC subscription which I use on the other 2 computers. Does this mean that I can no longer have both? If I have a subscription I cannot have Stand Alone, or do I need a new Adobe ID for the Stand Alone? I have been on hold to support for over 30 minutes now, this is an incredibly annoying set of circumstances.

LR6 upgrade stops responding after installation
Installing Lightroom_6_LS11.exe which I was given as the download after I purchased the upgrade (I'm currently running LR5.7 with no problems), results in a program that immediately freezes (Windows reports LR Not Responding) when you attempt to click on anything in the LR window - startup credit screen, main menu, anything.

Why don't the ratings transfer when upgrading Lightroom to a new version? I no longer can sort using ratings--which took a lot of time to create.
I have given many of my photos ratings, but the ratings don't come over when upgrading Lightroom to the newest version. Anything I can do to recreate my ratings?
