Solution for Error 0xc000007b in Lightroom 4.4 with Windows 7 64 bit:
I have been having trouble with being able to load in Lightroom 4.4 on Windows 7 64 bit on a few occasions in the past few months, and I found a very quick and simple fix if you are in my situation. I hope this works for you.
- If you are receiving the 0xc000007b error immediately when you start Lightroom then, most likely you are missing a msvcr100.dll file. If you don't have, or can't locate a msvcr100.dll file on one of your hard drives, then go to the following link:
- Download the zip file with two DLL files in it. The two files included are a msvcr80.dll and amsvcr100.dll
- IT has been my experience that I ahve only needed the msvcr100.dll file. Once you have extracted the files from the ZIP file, copy the msvcr100.dll from that folder and do the following procedure:
- Go to Start menu / all programs / right click on the Adobe Lightroom 4 icon at the top of your list of programs / left click on the "open file location" option / paste the msvcr100.dll file into that Lightrooom application folder / close it out and you should be ready to go! Open Lightroom and see how it goes.
It's like Hooked On Phonics, "works for me!" I have had to do this on two separate occasions and both times I coulld never seem to find the right forum answers that make the problem solving easy, I finally found this solution deep in a discussion after MUCH research, so my hope is to post this and hopefully this will work for you and make your day. (...it did mine!)
