Strange question: Why would LR level adjustments cause my desk lamp to vary intensity?

At first I thought I was seeing things but doing LR basic level adjustments on either  monitor on a dual monitor system causes a small  incandescent desk lamp to dim and brighten with each slider motion.  After close observation I notice the lamp will dim and then bounce back, so it is more of a slow flicker.

Graphic card is Gigbyte nvidia GTX560. Power supply is Corsair 1200w  connected to a 1000kva UPS. Two NEC 2090uxi monitors both about a year and a half old (identical contrast specs).  Monitor one is connected to a separate UPS and monitor two is plugged into the wall.  The electrical circuit is well loaded but never enough to trip a breaker.

Does anyone know what this is?  But more important, whether it works in reverse to adversely affect monitor output?

I notice one monitor is always slightly duller and greener OR the other is always slightly brighter and bluer.  Their spectraview results show them identical but I can see a slight difference.   If  the desk lamp is affected, I'm wondering if one monitor can affect the other while it is calibrating via some sort of feedback?  What's the recommendation for calibrating dual monitors?  I leave the other on, but do not use it.

Thank you in advance for any thoughts on this.
